Two Dollar Bills Thousand Words Thursday

When I was at the bank the other day I heard the teller mention to another teller that she had gotten some two dollar bills.  I thought Abby would think they were cool so I asked if I could have a couple and of course she said yes.  Now that I’ve got $20.00 worth of two dollar bills, I was thinking about what I’m going to do with them. I thought maybe I’d bring them with me next time I go to Walmart.  They don’t even like to accept coupons and every time I try to use one it’s a HUGE production, can you image what they’d do to me if I tried to pay for my whole order with two dollar bills?  It should be interesting!

When my husband was in high school, a local man would give out two dollar bills to the best player of each high school basketball game. We have a huge stack…my girls like to look at them. Happy ATWT!

LOL, there’s a store in town that ALWAYS used to give out $2 when you’d cash a check and I remember the first time an out of towner saw one of ours they’d freak, “that’s not real!”

I had someone at my old job pay me in 15 two dollar bills once, my manager was pissed off cause he didnt know how to put it into a deposit, but we had a customer who wound up buying them off of us. They are cool and you dont get to see them all that often!!

Ooooh, I love these! They’re so different and unique! My FIL collected a bunch over the years and they were given to DH when he passed away. The boys like looking at them and also seeing how old they are! Very cool!

I think with inflation, these may become more common. There is always talk of eliminating the penny because it costs more than 1 cent to produce. The government could print 50 $2 bills for the same cost as 100 $1 bills. I have some of these, too —I’ve had them since I was a teen.

You make me laugh! I’ve gone through the Wally World line too!!! Our kiddos have a few of these and a few of the “gold” dollars. They love looking at them…

I’d love to hear how the shopping trip turns out. Strangely enough we had a few $2’s floating around the house this week, too!

LOL about Walmart! That would be hilarious!

My grandpa used to send $2 bills on our birthdays. He was “Paw Russell”, so he stamped a blue paw on them.

    Now, isn’t that illegal?

I have a couple of $2 bills in one of my kitchen drawers. My Mom came across them not too long ago when cleaning out a lock box. Apparently I had been given them for a birthday when I was a kid. Why in the world they were in a lock box, I have no idea. LOL
